crankcase repair....

hi all ive just brought a drz 400e :aidan which has a broken crankcase where a part of the kickstart bracketing bolts to it.(page 3/54 bolt11 in suzuki service manual)
id like to know if the case coule be repaired by welding or are they made of magnisim? if they are does anyone recomend a good liquid metal repair stuff:thumb2

if welding not possible, use miliput, i cracked my inspection timing cover plug on my xl600 lm , n it held oil in ok , pluss you can drill it too.:thumb
 
Only the top and clutch/rotor covers are magnesium. The rest is alloy.
 
update

just to let you know fingers crossed i think ive made a very good repair to the crankcase as there was plenty of thead to use with a longer bolt fitted! perfect. just got to get a clutch tool now so it can go back together :D:eek:
