I am not too happy with the rims and hubs of my spoked wheels and want to either strip the wheels and polish or paint the rims.
Now I have read on here that it can be a problem rebuilding the wheel and there are few places willing to take this on.
It seems to me that the spokes cannot be used to true the rim as in a convetional spoked rim.Am I right in thinking this?
If this is the case then would I also be right in thinking that if I were able to make a jig that would hold the hub and rim concentric and in the correct position relative to the centre line of the rim and centre of hub(Front) and mounting face(rear)then all I have to get correct is the orientation of the laceing and torque settings?
I have found these torque settings on the service CD but am a little confused as to the meanings.Any ideas anyone please?
Nipple on spoke, M4..........4 Nm.....................Variant, Cross-spoked wheels
Initial torque,spokes, M4....1 Nm.....................Variant, Cross-spoked wheels
Counter-hold spokes, M4....1Nm.....................Variant, Cross-spoked wheels
