Crosstourer shafted?

Apparently they are having issues with UJ's on the driveshafts failing?. Warranty/recall job afaik.
 
All driveshafts being replaced on VFR1200F & X worldwide all years. Great response by HONDA for getting it identified & sorted out, despite what appears to be a few isolated breakages on high mileage models.
 
It would never happen to a BMW :rolleyes:

A friend of mine I go touring with is having his VFR 1200 look at tomorrow morning for the very same thing, albeit a recall. Which is very nice from Honda's point of view. We are going to test ride the new Africa twin and crosstourer at the same time...was thinking of getting a crosstourer as a second bike, but it's a bit off putting with the driveshaft recall issues. I'm sure Honda will square it away.
