Mike, thanks for that. I kinda guess I was wondering if anyone was previous owner, or knew the previous owner - that kind of thing.
Nice bike. Now if I can pursuade my delightful and exceptional wife this evening... Of course if I cannot she would be neither of the aforementioned, just special.

I'll say a wee prayer fur ye:thumb

Ah only ken the Kaflik wans mind

The "Wee Frees" are far too modern and easy going. The Free Presbyterians are the boys !

I think that the "Wee Frees" are the Free Presbyterians, as opposed to the Free Church of Scotland, of whom there are slightly more of, but less than the Church of Scotland. Political BS in the church....

I'll tell ye a funny story about that when I see ye next just remind me of scones and cream:D

Certainly. Will they accompany the story? Do I bring my own, or are you the provider?:augie

Na The "Wee Frees" are the Free Church of Scotland or Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) et al. The Free Presbyterians ("Susaders" )are the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland from whence all the others eminated.
As previously stated they are altogehter more fundamental. :angel

Presbyteriansm was restored in Scotland in 1690.
Church of Scotland (Presbyterian)established.
Free Church of Scotland established in 1843 at what is commonly called "The Disruption" when a whole bunch of ministers left the Church of Scotland over patronage. They remained Presbyterian in church government.
Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland established in 1892 when there was a split in the Free Church.
In 1929 the act of Union took place between the Free Church of Scotland and the Church of Scotland, which is now known as the Church of Scotland. Some of the Free Church did not unite, and they remain as the Free Church.
And in the 1980's & 1990's there continued to be uncertainty within the Free Church and Free Presbyterians which brought about the starting of the Free Church Continuing, and the Association of Presbyterian Churches.

And I accept your comments about the wee free being more local to the situation 'n'all.:beerjug:
The above is for anyone else who is interested.

Thanks for all your advice and helpful hints. Me completely unoffended.
If I could remember how to, I would close this thread. I'll get a mod to do it.

A quick question Charles, is the Free Presbyterian Church in Scotland the same church as Ian Paisleys Free P's over here?

If you want the thread closed I can do that for you if you wish. :)
