Had my bike serviced by them today, Annual and a 90,000 mile service. Rode away and it felt like a new bike. This is my second service by them and two repairs under warranty. They are proving to be the best dealer I have been to, have used SPC, who I thought were good, NOG and Bahnstormer but CW are proving to be the best by far IMHO.

Also gave me some info on my bike

Switch on time 2318:02:42 (hh:mm:ss)
Braking Time Front 37:16:15
Braking Time Rear 37:16:55
ABS Control Time Front 00:00:08
ABS Control Time Rear 00:00:47

So the engine has run for 2318 hours, used the brakes for 74 hours and ABS for 1 minute. £7000+ in fuel, 7 sets of tyres. Had it serviced 15 times and 3 annuals. 5 repairs under warranty. Bike is 3 years old, I have owned it for 2 years 2 months. Money well spent....:D :D

I see thay came top on the Ride magazine dealer survey this year.

I bought my R1100s off Andy (his own bike) and I just love pointing out to people that its done 109,000 miles and looks like its only done 10,000.

Hate to think how much it cost to keep it like this though, its almost like grandads axe I guess !

Had my 1200gs serviced last wednesday WOW it was worth the 280 mile round trip to them.
Arrived at 7.30am after a cracking ride from Gerrards Cross,to be met by Wally, well what a character that man is proper old school had a good chat and a coffee.
Darren then arrived Service manager bike was swiftfully put into the workshop and progress started.
While i was being shown round my toy for the morning F800st Barry the mechanic came over to see me,whom i owe a big thank you to, found that the paralever nut was on its last thread and the bolt had moved in the housing. The cause was down to the copper washer not being in the hugger that was fitted.CW`s had seen this before a had a stock of these items.
Of out onto the Dorset roads for 2 hours then back to base.
While sitting having refreshments i heard someone say the word bacon, well i was of with Wally and his friends down to the market for bacon rolls and chatter.
Then back to the showroom and had a go on the K1200S warp factor comes to mined.Time i got back my red GS had a clean bill of health ready for the scratch home.
There also have a full range of every Michelim road map i have ever seen, put the Morocco map in the tank bag for next year.
Will be using CW`s again without a doubt.

So how much did they charge for the servicing compared to if you had it done at SBW (Hertford)?

Thanks

CW Motorcycles

Had my GS serviced today at CW Motorcycles. :rob Got there slightly late last night to drop my bike off and collect courtesy bike (£10) R1150R. Pleased to see they were still open as the traffic from Gosport to Dorchester was a mare and the skies were p***ing down.
Still open and still offering coffee! :beerjug: Said they'd have waited a little longer if I not made it and even waited if I'd called.:thumb
Picked up my bike today. Very efficient and extremely helpful. Seemed to know everyone that came in by their first name! Fully explained all the business and work done.
Great selection of bikes and gear to look at whilst drinking my coffee. Had the annual service (£290) 3450miles.
Will definitely use them again. :clap
- Not so sure about the R1150R courtesy bike??? :nenau Sorry for anyone reading but found it to be a right pig!! :mcgun Not for me!!

Glad to get my GS back!

Would recommend them.:hug

6000mile service

Only seems like yesterday I had my annual done at 3450miles:D

Once again mightily impressed with CW. Asked them to check my ABS fault again and got a call first thing on the service saying they had found the ABS control unit faulty:eek: My bike is out of warranty so expected a pause before he told me the price!!!:(
Didn't hesitate but went straight into - got a good will option from BMW so will all be done for free:clap
Meant I had a problem with getting back to my bike but they let me keep the loaner for a week (F800S - now discover I don't fit a sports bike either!!:ymca) at no extra cost:bounce1
Picked my bike up today - 6000mile service £242.
Will be booking my 12K with CW - in about 3 months:roll

CW - top banana:bow

I was going to take my bike across to CW but decided to try my local dealer instead, despite not having a brilliant name.

But the bike runs so smooth now, they adjusted the valve clearances etc and only charged £170,which seems good value compared to the prices you guys are quoting.

I live in the south pf France and I will try to schedule all services / work during my trips to the UK, that's how much I rate CW.

:thumb2

Yep, I've been using CW for the past few years after having made the mistake of using SPC before them. IMHO they charge top whack BUT you get what you pay for. The bikes always feel good when I come away and I get to talk to the mechanics whilst there should I wish, always nice to be able to speak to the person actually doing the work on the bike me thinks.

It's a 140+ mile round trip for me but I'll carry on going there as long as they keep this sort of service going.

:)

Top Marks CW

:clap

I have had a great experience with CW, I bought a KTM 990 Adventure off their sister dealership last year as they had the only sport non-ABS model in the country. CW are over 110 miles from me so i was a little concerned in case of any warranty issues. The bike was perfect on delivery and despite the mileage I took it back for it's 1st service to them (they do a discounted rate) and they leant me a bike for the day.

I found the KTM a bit too extreme, serious fun but in a sportsbike kinda way with hard suspension, poor tank range and my Mrs moaning about the seat after a 1000 mile trip to Ireland. This started me on the R1200GSA search. In fairness BVM in Stroud were very helpful and I test rode a Std R1200GS with them, loved the bike and decided to change.

Got a price from BVM and also spoke to Dave Wyndham at CW, the CW price was £600 better in PX + the KTM had H&B panniers and top box which are excellent ~ CW Price allowed me as well to keep the Panniers, so for the cost of a new pannier rack £150 I kept my panniers.

CW where very helpful sorting everything out, fitted the new pannier rack all ready for delivery 1st Sept. When I came to collect and swop my panniers we found that some parts hadn't been sent from :mcgunH&B and I couldnt attach the panniers....:thumb2 Fair play the techs came out found some straps and literally "strapped" the panniers on so I could get home !

I would also add that CW fitted the pannier racks and also swopped my TOM TOM Rider and Touratech brackets over FOC :clap

Two weeks later 1st service booked for a Saturday :clap Great ride down to Dorchester (although still running in) met by Darren at 0800, leant me (£12) an R1200S for the day and got on with the 1st service. I had a great day out on the loan bike (although my arms stretched with it!) and collected mine at 4pm all sorted and washed off. Once again a discounted rate for the 1st service !

Whilst it's a long way for me to go 220 miles return using CW is always easy and pleasant ~ also a great excuse to ride a different (& always new/up to date) bike for the day. The teajm at CW are really pleasant and can't do enough for you, free coffee and a great atmosphere ..........can't recommend the highly enough..........

Ohhhh and by the way.................just love the GS!!
