Hi all
4 of us are going to pass through CZK on the way to Slovakia nxt week. We will enter from Bavaria and have a choice of a)slicing through the middle, b)going north into Poland and then into Slovakia, or c) halfway across, dropping SE to the west of Slovakia.

Is there any "must travel" roads in CZK to help us decide?

in the top via poland and through the mountains... blurdy good fun and the back roads are better than the main drag...

best of luck and watch out for the mad truckers

Rospasmart1,

I'm leaving for Slovakia on Thursday this week:bounce1. Going through France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic and then into Slovakia. I'll be staying just south of Kosice for 1 week then heading back through Austria, Italy, taking in the Stelvio and lake Como and Garda then Switzerland and france on the way back. Staying in campsites whilst en route there and back. I'll be on the 1150 GSA SE fully loaded so if ya see us give us a wave...:tosser

Its the only way i have gone so i cant compare with other routes but via Poland is good.:thumb2 (come back through the alps maybe?) I went north after Poland but I think low iq's route is good.I would hammer the autobahn down to dresden then take the windy roads through a corner of czeck into poland ,east to auchwitz (oswekiem) and then south via theTatra mountains. (save prague for a boozy stag weekend)
Hope you have a good un:)

Which way did you go in the end?

I missed the thread originally.

As I always go to Moravia, I tend to try and miss Prague if I can and to do that I always take the A4 route and then drop down from Dresden and then loop across via Hradec Kralove where I have friends.

If I am in a hurry, then I go the A3 route to Nurnburg and then across via Rozvadov, Plzen, Prague and the dalnice to Brno.

In May I am off to the Beskidy mountains for the Czech Suzuki Owners Club 25th Anniversary Rally and as it is in Northern Moravia I'll take a new route through Poland. Any B&B tips for that SW corner of Poland gratefully received.
