Having bought a couple of sets of Furygan D3O knee pads, there was a problem installing them in the trousers/pants.
Two pairs of pants have "pockets" in the knees and inside the pockets are Velcro strips (female part).
Gluing the hook (male) part to the D3O was not looking good or feasible.
However, I found a .pdf bonding guide from D3O and on the back of that I bought some Loctite 401 that glues fabric to D3O.
I used brake cleaner to clean the release agent from one set of pads and isopropyl alcohol on the other. Same results.

I would add that gluing to the "solid" type D3O was piss-easy. The Furygan Ghosts are a little different in that they are segmented. I glued the Velcro on and then made horizontal cut-throughs in said Velcro to keep the pad nice and flexible.
