Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a F650gs Dakar, Got my eye on a neat model from 2000 with 11000 miles on the clock... How much would pay for such a bike?
What are the differences between this bike and later model (forks, front wheel, height...)?
Many thanks
Cheers
Vince

No difference in height, wheels etc. Later models had a different rear rack and panels and a slightly different front fairing that has 4 screws in the screen, not 3 like the older ones.
Later ones are twin spark also (which does very little and costs more when servicing/things go wrong).

How much would I pay, mmmmm depends. I always under value them, but if it is nice I would guess anything up to £2500 ish with that mileage :nenau

What colour?

Captain America (John Deacon tribute colours) and the Black and white ones were special edition and can fetch top bucks.

That bike is Colts..........from this parish

It's worth £4k

Lovely bike...............best and most original Dakar colourscheme - it is the original Dakar model and highly desirable

Black & White - the best colour scheme of all the F650's. :thumb2
And if it's Colt's bike your buying, I don't know how much he's asking but it'll be a good buy. He's not in the business of ripping people off.

Thanks Guys,
8 days left on the auction, I'll see how it goes...
Looks very neat from the pics, thanks for the info
Cheers

I knew that, but was waiting for you to own up :D:D:D

I've seen it in the flesh and it puts mine to shame :(:(:(

Mine is piloted by a far more handsome rider though who has the skills of a mountain goat off road :hide

:D

Vince , you would look really handsome on the 2000 Dakar

It gets admiring glances and greeneyed looks from all who want to own it:D

Hi,

Cheers,
