Dakar 2007

I did have probs when stoped part of my import doc was missing (got torn) the police man was very pissed off & said i had to go back to St Louis to pay a fine & get a new one & he would hold my licence about £10 in CFA that i gave him seemed to change his mind . I take it they wanted to keep the licence to make sure i came back not like some others hey LOZ good on you.

in france after 2 days of cold hands i resorted to strips of my sleeping mat attached to my gloves with inner tube rubber bands. possible stigtech future product.
god it was cold. 50 km then stop to warm hands. 50km then stop for hot chocholate. think ill invest in some heated grips. Jurgen the german on the ktm had some which he said cost 40 euros in germany!! he had it sorted, just the bear essentials and had camped the whole trip. he'd done marocco, mauri, mali, bukina faso togo, guinia, gambia, ghana senegal and then back. reconned it had cost him less than 2000euros for the whole trip 2 months. off now to go trail riding on the dr350.

pass this link on to anyone who you can think of and maybe we can overturn the government!

Made it to Bilbao today and NO snow :D although there was plenty at the roadside and about 20 snowploughs parked up and waiting along the way. It was damned cold though, had the grips on full and the Gerbing jacket turned well up. Not looking forward to 2 nights on the boat, hope Abba are on good form

Smokinrider, I found one of the Polish guys in a ditch in Western Sahara, he had done a Kev and run off the road on a left-hander and bogged it right down to the panniers and cylinders. He was rather pleased to see me to say the least! My Polish isn´t great but I think he said his undies felt like Kevs did :D
