Dash/clock shroud

Do any of you guys know if the grey clock/instrument shroud from a 2004+ Dakar will fit a 2001 model?

I much prefer the angular look of the later model's dash, and want to replace my current dash as it's seems to have suffered some green corrosion.

Screw holes look to be in the same place. Give Motorworks a call and ask them to see if the fitment is the same. Failing that I'm sure they'd sell you a second hand one that you could return if it didn't fit.

Yes it is possible; I did it to my '02 GS last year.

It is notably 'thicker' in depth than the single-spark version meaning that the surfaces that met the dials and buttons had about a 1cm gap. Therefore it did take quite a bit of fettling, mainly trimming down thickness of the panel, so that it provided a good fit all round when mated.

I think my front fairing stay is twisted anyway so nothing really lines up well at the moment.
Did you just sand down the back of the panel a bit?
