Anyone wear / own one ?

I like them - and want one for limited summer use . But boy , are they tight when you first put them on. Do they bed in , or is my head an odd shape?

Thanks

I had one for around 10 years, it was a tad on the tight side when I got it and never really changed so I'd make sure you get a good fit to start with.

The guy who started and runs Davida is a mate of mine, he should be at the Classic Bike show this weekend and will have a stand there, it may be worth you going along :thumb

Best tell him he needs more dealers and especially ones that can't be bothered to properly sell his helmets. I've been trying since the summer and none of the (very few) Davida dealers can be arsed to order a helmet in a size they don't have in stock.

No wonder we're all buying Italian, German or Japanese.

Be careful when ordering/buying one, they do come up small so you might need a size up on what you normally wear PLUS as daft as it sounds there is a definite knack to putting them on and taking them off , make sure the dealer shows you how.:thumb

It depends which one you buy. :nenau

I have the non road legal one with less padding, the lining is feckin' hard but it's eased up a bit. :eek

Most people buy the road legal Jet which has a lot more room for give :thumb2

I think he sells a lot to the Japanese, ironically they appreciate goods that are genuine and not pseudo retro.

do we get a discount if we mention your name

He used to dish out or heavily discount any cosmetic seconds to those who asked but see no reason why he should or would discount the retail price unless they do at the bike show:thumb

Me too, I have the 'Classic Jet'. Order one size up on that baby as there's less padding and they do run small. The legal Jet has more padding so MIGHT not be the same. Mutley is spot-on that there is a knack to putting them on properly and remaining comfortable. Like I've said elsewhere, I use a cotton helmet liner in summer as the leather can be a bit hot.

I've had both and the Classic Jet gives amazing peripheral visibility and is nice and light.

The range of peaks and visors is good too.

My local Davida dealer in Bury St Edmunds (Crazy Horse M/C's - a chopper shop) was VERY helpful.

Amazing selection of finishes, but horrendously expensive for a helmet that is mainly intended for scooter/moped users !

Makes a DAVIDA look like superb value for money.
