Daytona boot sizes?

My pile of shite FT boots have finally died and it's time to buy
something decent. To that end I'm looking at getting a pair of
Daytona Travelstar GTX. Trouble is I don't seem to be able to find a
local stockist here in Sweden who doesn't charge ridiculous prices, so
I'll be ordering online from Germany. Now I've heard that the sizing
can be a little unusual, so I'm not exactly sure which size to get as
I won't have the opportunity to try them on first.

So to all you Daytona boot owners out there: did you order your usual
shoe size or something slightly smaller/larger? (I'm normally a UK
size 10, Euro 44).

my GTX's are my usual size 43. They did feel a bit snug to start with and the zips where a bitch to do up at first but they softened up pretty quick and now are very comfy, dry & warm. good choice!

I have UK 8, or continental 42, a size up from normal for me. The 7/41's were too tight.

Dry and warm so far.

I'm on my second pair of outers, I take a ten and a half shoe, and a ten and half Daytona .........or the euro equivalent , no allowance needed for a different size ... as above on sock thingy

Ive got 11 / 45 as my normal shoes.

I have roadstar GTX - and very marvellous and brilliant they are too.

To keep with the consistency of replies, my shoe size is 45 but I needed 46 for my Daytona Roadstar GTX boots. (Superb boots b.t.w.)

if you have anything other than a 'normal foot', you might be better off going for the road star gtx. the road star comes in 3 differenct widths whilst the travelstar as yet doesnt.

also daytona do a made to measure service with about an 8 week delivery time. if, like me you have a dumb ass foot wide at the top but narrow at the ankle, you might want to consider this.

having made the mistake of buying one pair the wrong size already id recommend you go careful ordering up online and wait till you can get a cheap flight to somewhere that stocks them.

ive bought my second pair from www.hideout-leather.co.uk after literally going through their whole stock to make sure i didnt make a snafu the second time. i would say that the daytonas in std trim are quite wide fitting. i believe that the best fit comes from their boots that have an internal brace like the evo rider which then protect your whole rear tendon. of course they are serious wedge but skinny feet people may prefer them.

I have the Trans Open GTX. Fantastic boot, totally waterproof and you have a fair amount of adjustment on the width fitting round the leg with velcro at the back.

The general rule is to buy the boot one size larger than you normally would with a shoe.

I don't know a single person who has a Daytona boot (any model) who doesn't think its the best boot they've ever had!
