Hi
I am in the market for a new seat, the standard seat is killing my backside because it tilts forward without much meat on the seat.
Who recommends what out there? Have you spent a fortune or not? Maybe you got something to sell, only need the front part.
I have been looking at Corbin and Sargeant, very nice but the price is tad scary.
Appreciate any info and knowledge from all.
Cheers

Set the front of the seat high and the back low. :thumb2

Seats

Corbin, done 80,000 on mine brilliant takes alittle while to bed in but after that heaven!. Put an ad on the site I did for the 1200 came up trumps!.

Corbin, worth every penny and a pair came up on flea bay fairly recently on a BIN for £300.

£395 with a back rest and they are heated. I bought em! :thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb

Its my 4th Corbin seat and wife has one on her Harley they are fabulous.

For some reason though I am taking some getting used to this one! I had two on my 1150RT awesome! comfortable for 500 miles a day + (had 2 because I got a black front saddle without the rear. Her in doors realised whilst we were in Germany how comfortable I was and she wasn't!!!! and said she would ride on it again until she had one ! Then I found a grey coloured set on fleabay. My next was on a F650GS and again it was very comfy.

My latest which is on my 1200 GSA as I said is heated, I started to find it irritated the tops of my legs on the underside. I think it was the firm edges of the seat so I have tilted that up slightly by putting some washers under the front seat brackets where they bolt to the frame and having the seat fron on high and rear on low and its getting better. I also found it feels quite warm to my arse when the others didn't !!!!

If I dont get on with it in the end and I sell it I will put it on here 1st rather than fleabay.

I hope I do get on with it, anyone know why it might be warmer ? unless its something to do with the heat pad insert (and for those wise ones amonst you that is with the seat switched off!).

My original GSA seat was HELL after 50 miles, my arse hurt!!!! but after advice on here - tilting the front it was much better and I have done 10 k on it before getting the Corbin.

If it's the ones not too far away from you in Gatwick I'd look again because they have been totally reworked (front especially) and look nothing like Corbins should. See HERE
I'd contact the seller and go and try them on your bike before you bid.

Ok. its official. A Corbin now caresses my arse and I can confirm with 250 miles in two trips that its fantastic. First class for my backside and recommended to all!

Sod the Yanks!

Scary's right! Can't comment on Corbin, but Sargent customer service sucks.
