Dead reckoning?

Got a 2650.. had it on the 1150.. now its on the 1200.

Has anyone installed the dead reckoning cable? Says in the bumf that its a dealer install only

There is a very good reason why Garmin dropped the dead reckoning feature on their domestic range of SatNav's ..........

I don't know why ..... all I can say is,"Don't go there!"

Maybe it has to be installed somewhere on the gearbox, so that it can work out where you might be if you were to engage reverse gear in a car, or possibly wired into the speedo feed.

I run an external aerial on my 2820 if I am in a poor reception area - I think it picks up satellites a little quicker.
