Thanks everyone for another good night, it was good to see you all.
Well done again to Val and Jill for braving the frost, etc all the way from over the bridge. We did think we were in for an impromtu cabaretwhen you both whipped off your "Takeaways", but they were simply an excellent solution to to a cold nights ride!!!!
Merry Christmas to you all, hope to be there on the Snow Run before I go over to the "Dark Side" after Christmas, but I'll still be turning up for the meetings
Great to see everyone last night, a warm welcome as always for the foreigners from abroad.
We arrived back home at about 12.30. Still warm in the leg department, thanks to our wonderfull new apparel. Quite a bit further than the Abercrave but it was worth it just for the chipps
It turned out the Landloard and Lady lived in Melksham before taking over the pud where we too were living until only recently. It's supprising how many people we've met who used to live in Melksham
Have a good Christmass eveyone, I don't think we'll make it to the Snow run 'both working through the holidays'.

I was going to post this 'KTM vs Buell Ulysses' thread header I just spotted, posted by one Mr Longdog
Incidentaly, I was talking to a friend the other day who confessed to buying a Ulysses 'in gastly orange' as he put it. Got himself a bit of a deal on a new one. Two grand off plus free luggage. they wouldn't give him anything off a black one though

I wanted a black one, but there don't appear to be any black ones around in Southern Britain. At £2,200 off list, it's a bargain!!! But that's not the only reason, it ticks my boxes for quirkiness and character and it is terrific fun to ride too! It's a shame about the small tank, but as I'm not going across Outer Mongolia, I can live with that.
As for Tarka, well, he has one also and he has sold his beautiful red 1100 and he is thinking about selling his other 1100 and buying a second Buell!!!
If you'll still talk to me, I'll still come along to the monthly meetings!!!
