Decent B and B in Cornwall please ....

Hello to everyone down in the South West section ...
A personal recommendation please .... Have done Scotland for the last 2 years and lovely though it is me and my northern mate fancy a bit of West Country in June.... Less miles and more cream teas .. You get the idea ? Just want a decent place to base our selves for 4/5 nights ... All the usual things .. Pub close by, good breakfast, nice owners etc .. Location not massively important .. I would be most grateful for any links etc ... Thank you in anticipation.

Lovely, spacious rooms, great food and an excellent pub about 50 yards away. Right on the edge of Exmoor too!

The Lizard

Hi theres a decent pub/hotel at St Keverne which is on the lizard penninsular about 8 miles from Helston, the village has a square with 2 pubs some good winding roads about and easy access to most places, although in my opinion the roads are not as good as Scotland mainly because the lanes have very high banks so the cross views are poor to see whats coming.

If I were going to Cornwall for a short break I would base myself somewhere around the Roseland peninsula and St Mawes.

Not stayed here (it's only an hour away) but a good recommendation in terms of location. Any bit of Cornwall is an easy day out and Exmoor is great - easy to reach too, M5 J26 and through Minehead.

Thanks again everyone .. Mr Trippy, Mrs Rusty and I stayed in St Mawes about 25 yrs ago before our first little one came along ... It was beautiful but I remember it was quite isolated from anywhere else .... Even better !
