i don't think thats a deer - fur looks too long and theres not enough of it.

a deer would hit the windscreen, not the grille.

I'm guessing a fox or similar

Says a lot for the integrity of the BM though :thumb
 
Some of it was probably cooked-something to chew on while waiting for recovery!!

A sika hind can be small enough to throw over your shoulder - handbag style ;) - not sure what they have in Germany to be honest but if they have the likes of the Roe or the absolutely tiny muntjack and CWD that they have in the UK then it's a deer alright.
A fox would be much smaller than that 20 odd lbs at the very most
