Del Boy I've just seen your pics of your new farkles and noticed you haven't (Yet) fitted Bar Risers :nenau
What do you think of mine ? Not ridden it yet. There was no need to drop forks and re locate cables, straight on :thumb

40mm up
15mm back
bar riser and additional fork brace. predominantly for extreme off-road use. But i just like the look of it :D

It doesn't obscure anything. It was standard on the 1150. And miss it on the LC. If you drop your bike it will stop the bars bending.

The cross bar on the handlebars is not necessary, they have been designed to be strong enough not to bend and also give a slight amount of flex which will help with less vibration through the grips.

My mate would disagree with that statement, His Bike fell over at the tunnel and bent the bars .... the wind blew it over. Did make a bang:augie

REF Tat, This wouldn't be UKgser if someone didn't pipe up and express their dislike of it:D

Oh well there is no accounting for taste, but fair enough if it's mainly for looks, as I don't think it will do much for strength, at least not with those thin metal strip clamps.

Many off road bikes have them, Here's my first GS purchased in 2000. (4 years before the Ewan & Thingy bandwagon:D)
