Deleting V7 City Navigator 2610

OK so I've successfully loaded up V9 and switched off V7 (so that it doesn't try and do every route through Hull anymore )
Given that it won't all fit on my 2gb card though can I delete V7 and just leave 9?
How do I do it - can't see anything in the manual

When you load v9 onto the CF card, it'll automatically delete whatever was on it before.
