Hi all, just want to know why I keep seeing Dent come up here a lot? I went up to the lakes the last couple of years and stopped at Hawes en route, the way in from Derbyshire was brilliant and from Hawes we went up on the buttertub pass, which again was fantastic. But we never touched Dent.
On the way back we were going to the Ribblehead but unforeseen breakdowns on another bike meant an emergency detour!

So... Any tips re Dent or Ribblehead or any suggested routes I can try coming up from Derbyshire?

Ps, I did the run up to the lakes a few days before the tour de France started and we were inadvertently doing the route they took, the roads were marked up, the villages were all decorated and the weather was brilliant. It was literally awesome!

It is all great, no bad roads in the Dent/Hawes/Ribblehead area, either on or off-road - all good & my back yard

dent etc

My back yard too.
I live 500 yards from the B6255, a road everyone should ride at least once in their life.
Like Johnny said, You would struggle to find a bad ride in these parts.

Probably because we're running a UKGSer meeting up there at the end of May, and we have maybe 70+ lads'n lasses coming to it :D

In that case I either passed your house yesterday (Ribblehed > Hawes) or today (Ribbblehead > Ingleton).
