Ok...I`m a PC Numpty. :o :o

I was rearranging the icons on my desktop page, and somehow the Internet Explorer one has disappeared.

I now have to go to my Start menu and access Internet Explorer from that.

Any idea what`s happened......and how to get the icon back on my desktop ??

Thanks in anticipation. :beerjug:

Right click and hold on the icon in the start menu, drag to desktop, release and select create shortcut here.

I'll post you up some brown cords mate:)

You should be using firefox anyway

Sorted ! :bounce1 :bounce1

Cheers fella ! :thumb :beerjug:

Don`t forget some knee length grey socks and a pair of leather sandals to go with the brown cords. :D

Erm....what`s Firefox when it`s out ??

And why should I be using it ? :nenau

It's a web browser with 'tabs' it's pretty good but you could try going to Microsoft and download and install IE7 which does the same thing but you won't loose any of your favourites.

Ah....now I know.

Thanks. :thumb

Firefox allows you to import your favorites from IE, but they're called 'bookmarks'.

The reason (in theory) for using Firefox is that the naughty hackers and virus makers will concentrate on IE, because that's what 95% of the worlds PCs are using, rather than trying to hack other browsers. So, in theory, you should be safer using Firefox than IE. In theory
