THe invitation for a ride in the upper Derwent Valley appeared on Advrider. So I thought I would turn up. Particularly since the thread ends with where are all the BMWs. See below.

I am just getting into off road and I know the roads and what may be encountered. So I took up the challenge.
Well the first problem was it was me on the 12, a Honda 650 dirtbike and two KTM 640 Adventures. And they had knobblies. The 12 has Anakees.
THis was going to be interesting.
Well the 12 did not disappoint. Despite having limited dirt experience he 12 went everywhere the KTMs went. ANd some of it was difficult for them!
Here is the report of the trip. I am just so surprised at the capability of the 12. Now I will have to investin some TKCs for days like this.
