North Eastern Dolomites to be precise......

Thinking of camping or a hotel?

Gotta look at this place - www.caravanparksexten.it - arguably, the best EVER campsite I have ever seen, stayed at or heard about.
Found, totally by accident - after a friend had suggested the Berg Hotel in Moos, I rode South for a few minutes and found CaravanPark Sexten!

Open year round, just over the Austrian-Italian border, sandwiched between two Amazing mountain peaks, with the very best facilities, restaurants, pizza place, live music.....oh and did I say - fantastic camping facilities! Toilet-shower blocks were palatial and not far from spectacular spa facilities.

If you had a rest day away from the bike ......just look at their pools!

I've had several very good experiences with Hotel Olympia in Arraba. Central for the Dolomites, reasonably priced, but they look after you well. Good breakfast, good evening meals and a bar with staff who understand bikers.

We stayed in the Olympia in 2011 cant get more central

We stayed in Arraba last summer but in the Albergo Gasthof Pordoi. Heartily recommend both Arraba and this hotel as a base for the Dolomites. We booked half board but couldn't eat all the food they served us on the first night there was so much of it. I feel bloated now just thinking about it! They had a garage too for the bikes, with tools etc... if needed. Very good indeed.
