I came across this method several weeks ago and I'm surprised what a difference it makes.

Yep. It's how i park my GS, as it make's it easier to get on/off the Bike, get it off the stand easier, and also leans more weight into the stand for added stability.
It's why i like the function of having the steering lock with the wheel pointed to the right.

It also drops the seat height slightly so an all round win for us stumpies
