.....that the CVO motors have a feature that if you are stuck in traffic at idle and the engine goes above a certain temp the ECU automatically turns the rear cylinder off until you pull away and go over 1250 RPM.
It can be bypassed as a feature and turned off.
Just thought I'd share tat nugget with you. :D

So that when it's summer, you can sit at traffic lightts going *pot....pot....pot.....pot.....pot.....* rather than *potato potato potato potato potato potato * ?

Engine Idle Temperature Management System (EITMS). When engine reaches a certain hot temperature the ECM shuts off fuel to the rear cylinder and adds a little more to the front to maintain the idle speed. The rear cools down since it's just pumping air. The touring line got this in 2007. The dealer can flash the ECM to "allow it" or not. Beginning in 2009 you can turn EITMS on or off by rolling the throttle forward for a few seconds while stopped. It's there for rider and passenger comfort in very hot weather.
