Hi Everyone,

I'm delighted to announce that I've designed and built a DIN/Hella power plug with internal USB socket for the power outlets on your motorcycle. Please take a look at the photos below.
This unique accessory is capable of charging an iPhone, GPS etc.
This power plug will also work in a standard car socket with the red adapter attached (supplied with unit).
Quick and easy - take from bike to car to bike.
12v input and USB output up to 1 amp.
These units are individually made and available at £19.99 each including free postage in UK and economy postage to US and rest of The World.
Please contact me off-list for photos and more details - [email protected]

No offence but a external 12000MA battery is a better option I've found for charging phones etc whilst on the bike

That looks just like a Hella/Cig adaptor with a standard USB plug pushed in the end? Anyone can cobble those two items together......

I've just checked - the two items are readily available for under £8.00 all in.

Lot of the modern stuff is needing 2A to charge so looking a little light on current. To power from the bike better with a short hella to standard socket extension lead, then the charger can be in the tank bag with the phone and protected from the elements.

Just got myself a 6600mAh battery pack from ebay that will even charge my tablet in the tent overnight at least twice without having to plug into the bike.

It's "horses for courses" isn't it? I use this system to power my iPhone which runs SatNav software. It works really well and I get to my destination with a fully charged phone. I'm not suggesting this solution for charging an iPad or similar.

The management take a dim view of commercial adverts without being a subscriber.

By the way, I think it's an interesting product but your price point is a bit off.
Don't think you stand much of a chance with this at £20.
You could probably get away with £12 ish.

Just my opinion.

Talk is cheap. Look forward to seeing photos of the one you make.

Here you go............

Nothing to "make" - you just plug one into the other :nenau

Plug one into the other - job done.

I know they aint the exact same hella plugs as you use - I just dont have time to search for yours.

I don't think you are offering great value.

The iPhone is old hat, many modern phones and tablets need a 2 amp supply, bit short sighted not to be able to supply 2A. The
adaptor linked above is ideal for throwing together a 2A supply
