Back on the road

Picked up the machine this morning - only £175 for parts and labour - could have been a lot worse.

They even replaced the battery under warranty, which probably needed doing anyway.

So nice to have my steed back!

FWIW, I did the opposite a few years ago, filled a BMW 325TDS with petrol. Got 2 miles up the road. The AA towed the car, then drained the tank, filled with petrol & off she went. According to the AA chappie, petrol in diesel cars can knacker seals depending on the type. He said BMWs & Audis were fine - they expected this sort of thing to happen. However, don't try the same trick in a Vauxhall!
