Disc thickness

Could someone advise please ? When are discs due for replacement due to wear ie. reccomended mm .

When you get an "advisory" on you MOT.

When the front wheel fold's up against the front casing,as you hit a non moving object,coz your disc's give up

there is no recommended thickness. the min thickness is for re-grinding

my mot tester , looks for cracks and flexing ,if either is present ,it is a fail .

BMW say 4mm is the wear limit on the front disks. They are 4.5mm when new.

I went with the MOT adivsory....

I think this was 3.6mm for the front and 3.1mm on the rear when they required changing.

I was careful to check for cracks and general condition of the discs.
