The paint work on my GS tank has developed a brown tinge where my knees rub. I’ve since bought a tank protector.
I’ve tried polishing and T cut but no luck. The paint surface still looks shiny and not worn.
Anyone got any advice?IMG_2104.jpegIMG_2102.jpeg

Try rubbing down with white vinegar. It looks like Phenolic yellowing of the oxidised fabric (or leather) finish has transferred to the polymer in the lacquer. This fabric finish is alkaline, meaning that, if it is that, the mild acid will neutralise the surface colour.

Nothing to loose by trying it, it won't make it worse as long as you wash it down soon after,

You can get it painted. Some ass scratched the white on my Trophy. Blended in and good as new for £80.
