Distance to Destination

How do you find the remaining distance to your destination without continuously touching lower right until the destination is reached?

Tap top bar that shows driving directions, tap show map = distance and time to go.

Or toggle through the screens until it shows the compass rose and one of the options IIRC is distance to go.
