Basically the same question. Do the risers from Nippy Norman's work with the factory tank bag? Thx. Any tips on installation?
Do 12GS riser from NN work with BMW tankbag?

The answer to your question is "sort of" really. I have large hands and found the BMW tankbag difficult to attach (hook in) in standard trim so you can image that I now have even less space than before to try and hook it in - it is possible though.
The bars will touch the bag on full left/right lock but I don't think that is too much of a problem. I haven't actually filled her up since installing the bar risers with the tankbag attached - I can see that being a bit more difficult as well as you will not be able to push the bag forward as much as before before the bag touches the bars.
Going away for the weekend fully loaded so will be able to give you an update next week on how it all worked out.
As far as the installation was concerend there has been a thread on here regarding the re-routing of the brake line as you'll find that with the risers you will put some strain on the brake line on full left lock. I detached the whole brake lever assembly frrom the handle bars and fed the whole lot through between the fork and the headstock (involved a lot of foul language as I did not want to damage/scratch anything). Another option is to drop the fork leg which is described in another thread.
