Does anyone know if brake pads (in this case oe 1150 ones) have a shelf life?

Quite probably a silly question, but then I am a silly person!

Doubt it. Never known it to happen even on other types of system where brake a clutch pads have been in store for 10yrs

Brake pads can "go off" when in use if they overheat and "glaze" but not in the box/packet.

If you freeze them they last feckin' ages ...

I have a dedicated fridge for film and brake pads, I sometimes keep my cheesecake in there too, as this can "go off" too so i'm told.

Mine always used to "go off" just as I got to the end of Park Straight at Cadwell :rob :D

…….at least that what I told the marshals as they helped to push me back onto the track!

The material just fell off the rear pads on my 1100S a few weeks back. I never use them which apparently means they rust and that happens.
