Yes.
They fit straight on, with all the correct holes for heated grips etc. Fitting is a tad fiddly as the grip wires need to be threaded through the bars, and there are all manner of different sized screws/bolts to undo.
Handguards can be fitted as well, just take a bit of care to get the cable routing correct.
Being narrower, the whole bike feels much much more compact, and filtering is quite a bit easier. The riding position changes slightly, but the main difference for me was the straighter angle of the bars which puts less of a wierd angle on your wrists compared to the standard bars. I found that the standard bars were angled backwards too much putting pressure on the outside of my hands, and causing my wrists to be at an odd angle if I evened out the pressure. The R1150R bars sorted that out.
The slightly more forward stance (as the R1150R bars are less swept back) was fine for me, but you can adjust with a set of risers to make you a bit more upright.
Overall, I found it a great mod - well worthwhile. So much so that I've now put Renthal Twinwall bars on my R1200GS which has the same overly swept back bar angle. The Renthal's are much much better.
If you search around on Advrider I'm pretty sure there is a handlebar changing thread there somewhere - probably linked to Ricky Kuhn's bar mod (which is Renthals with his custom risers for the 1150GS).
The fitting on my 1150 took me about 4 hours I think. It took about 30 mins on the 1200 which has a simpler cable layout and no heated grips to worry about.
