Apologies for the stupid question in advance but picking up my first bike on the 5th and it's got an Autocom Active 7 fitted.

Do you still wear ear plugs with it? Or is it best to get some ultimate ears made up with speakers embedded?

Personally wear earplugs but others will swear by ultimate ears, basically go for the cheap option first and see if it suits.

Yep I wear the ear plugs use the ipod and can still hear the missus on the back.It may be just me but the sounds seems to be a bit better aswell. The woman in the garmin is a bit more difficult to here an so is the music ,so I have switched her off and just listen to my Ipod music.

No problem with ear plugs and autocom speakers

I too have worn earplugs for years and have no problem hearing my music or GPS or pillion via the autocom headset. I recently got some custom ear plugs made up, and was advised that if I want to hear music then to have filters fitted, which I did and they work great. :thumb2

Just remember that if you do a short trip and leave the ear plugs out, you'll deafen yourself :blast
