A little warning out there to anybody running a Honda in London.
I've had a couple of bikes serviced there in the last 5yrs. I recently took my bike there for a service and to have the brakes looked at, as they were sticking.
When i got the bike back not only was it pissing oil from the sump plug, but it then started leaking brake fluid from the banjo on the calliper they'd stripped to replace the seals.
I was a bit hacked off at the time, as not only did I have a "brake lever to the bar" moment
on the front brake, but the leaking brake fluid also stripped the paint from the front plastics.
When I took it back to be looked at again, they presented me with a bill for another sump plug washer and oil. They finally tore up the bill when they realised I wasn't going to part with any cash in the near future.
I decided not to take the issue of the damaged plastics any further. Its a working bike after all - and I intend to ride it until scrapped, so aesthetics aren't the top priority.
I did however decide to take my business elsewhere.
Fast forward 6 months and I get a phonecall from Chiswick Honda to say that whilst changing my brake pads it is evident that somebody has "butchered" the calliper whilst changing out the seals last. That'll be £180 for a new calliper
Dobles do **** all to help. I get onto Honda UK who grant warranty work.
What annoys me is that Dobles have obviously put a sub-standard mechanic on the job who has done probably £400 of damage whilst undertaking a £100 service. Not only that, but they've allowed me to ride around on a dangerous bike for the last 5k.
Beware of Dobles Honda

Beware of Dobles Honda

....always interesting to read this sort of stuff on Honda, maybe one day when the anger subsides I'll tell you all more about the time I nearly died because of Chiswick Honda, I was left with a trashed Blackbird, 2 broken ribs, and an assortment of bruises, bumps and bleeding parts when I went over the handle bars and landed on my head.....as I said it wasn't their fault.....how could they be to blame, they only fixed my bike the day before......
