dripping in bling!

:thumb

Lots of protection items......but not a scratch on them, he must be so good off-road.

Plus he's one of the no-ABS converts, each to his own but I'll take ABS every time :augie

There's a few people round here whose bling tour would last a LOT longer :augie

more money

than I have to spend, does he ever ride it ,it looked factory fresh .A rich fool and his money are easily parted, blinged up my 04, fitted a front fender extender, might even put a rear hugger when I can find the cash, now then where's that tourtech book thing.thumb

What a tool!!

He had no idea what half the TT bits were there for.

If that is, indeed, Harry Wong, he's anything but a tool...

He's actually a friend of a friend of mine in the Bay Area. I almost did one of his riding clinics over there in June of this year but couldn't quite fit it in.

My only concern about him is that he's a Scientologist but then so is Keith Code.....:nenau

Not wishing to offend, but that guy comes across as a complete TOOL !!! may not be true but that's the impression, sounds like he has no idea what he talking about, gives the impression that he has just thrown money at a bike that is never ridden, without having any idea why he has fitted the bits, in fact he gives the impression of being a completely clueless Rich Urban born again motorcyclist, eg a TOOL.

Pots and kettles

There seem to be a few people running this guy down because he wants to spend HIS money on personalising his bike. Bear in mind a few things.

a) He is in America, land of the fully blinged Harley

b) Looking at his garage, he don't seem shy of a few bob

c) There are plenty of long way down/round tricked up GS's on this forum which only come out on sunny days for the pub run

d) It's his money and his choice to personalise his bike as he sees fit

e) Jealousy is a terrible thing

OK, fire away

:mcgun :hide

I suspect that the fault lies in your perception. I've never met Doc Wong but I have had a PM correspondence with him over on BARF and as I said, he's a friend of a friend.

I suspect your English values aren't really an adequate tool for making a personality assessment of a Californian, Chinese-American professional man.

:ronno Now play fair, no need to bring race into this. People are commenting based on their perception of his video and bike mods - not the colour of his skin, and no-one has called him a tool 'cos he is Chinese-American.

He might have a fantastic personality, be a wonderful person, be skilled in his profession etc but he has emptied a whole accessories catalogue onto his bike and post video about it :), comments will follow

I try to remember our motto "We are all Tossers" and read people's comments (including my own) accordingly :beerjug:

I am indeed a tosser and I have nothing against this guy other than I think he's a right twonk firstly for throwing all those bits at what was a perfectly good bike, and then having the temerity to make a video of himself showing off all the bits as if he's the world's authority on accessorizing bikes, then thirdly posting it on the webbinet for everyone to see.

Doc, if you ever come to read this, please don't take it personal. We'd just rather you rode your bike instead, ok? :D

Its not that bad . It comes across as very american , but thats probably because he is.

He admits most of it is bling or 'farkle' as the yanks like to say and that although some of it he finds useful and a good investment ( suspension and lighting upgrades) a lot isn't . There is some new stuff for 1200 owners that I've not seen before also.

The guy wanted to show us and if its of no interest just press the stop button :thumb2
