Looking at an RT for an everyday commuter but I must be able ti carry a laptop. The bike im looking at is an ex police bike and has the single seat and panniers only.
does a 17" laptop fit in a 08 RT's pannier?

I wasn't able to get a 15" laptop into the pannier on my 10 reg the other day so I'd say you're out of luck. The case I was using isn't really that bulky either. Suppose it depends very much on the laptop but I wouldn't hold out much hope. Have resorted to a laptop backpack for the days I go to work on the bike.

Nuts!! Guessing its top box only or adventure style panniers. Just sold my tiger and laptop kust fitted backbox. Boughy a speed triple and a kreiga rucksack buts its not very ideal for commuting in the rain
If you're saying it has the top-loading police panniers, then yes, you're probably in luck. I don't know the exact size, but I used to carry a full sized lap-top at work in those panniers.

Yes fits a treat. But selling the bike as I hate the engine :-(
