I appreciate this may be a 'bone' question but does the anit fog ability of the insert decrease over time. I've had one in my Neotec for about 3 years and have removed it a few times to clean it as per the instrucitons on the website but I've noitced that whilst the visor seal is still good, the moisture absorbant coating (nearest my eye) seems to fog up quickly especially when raining.

I appreciate nothing lasts for ever but would welcome any thoughts on this as this is the first pinlock equipmented helmet that I've owned.

I cant see how they would wear out and should only need replacing if scratched or damaged as you would any visor.

When you take them off to clean they must be completely dry before you put it back in place( i ususally leave mine a good few hours) and have you tweeked the adjustment on the pins they are like cams so you can tighten the fitting and make sure of the seal

I've had a couple were the little bead of silicone used to seal it has hardened a bit, then let a little condensation into the air gap. But they were pretty old by that stage and had been removed a couple of times for cleaning

The plastic can degrade, speeds up if the bead fails. Appears as though it has white residue on that will not wash and polish off. Mine was 4 yrs old at this stage on a schuberth C3 though. Worth every penny ,when you get a new one in:thumby:

Thanks all. Found the problem in that I'd mistakenly moved one of the elipitcal pinlock pins so it created a really small gap - problem sorted.
