does the lc answer the old gs' problems

I have a TE without the sat-nav as I am using my Zumo 550 and without the topbox as I use my 52L Givi. The only thing I paid for that I didn't want was the chrome exhaust.

Electronic suspension and cruise control work for me but I only use my bike on road:cool:

I have the TE as I wanted ESA, LEDs and satnav mount, and that remains the right decision for me. But I'm sure I would have enjoyed the basic bike almost as much.

The only option that I wouldn't want to live without is the Akrapovic exhaust.

I see no reason why there won't be equally strong demand for the base bike at resale time given that you will likely be offering the bike at a price that will undercut the more available TE

So you may have rarity and price on your side.

Pleased we've finally settled on "LC" never liked the "other" term:augie

Nutty change the section title for our amazing and best ever bike to grace this site.....:thumby:

In coming

Nuts, I concur - I can`t spell WC as you can see :D

You all say "buy the basic bike plus extras" but you have all done what the dealer said and bought the TE . Actions and words I reckon!

Damn! Saw right through us!

Of course the TE is the intelligent option. Gotta be bonkers to buy a half-finished bike.

Spoken to the other nearby dealer and he says exactly the same. All he has sold so far is the TE version plus one basic verseion where the guy wouldnt even have had the ABS given a choice. Given that the bike is a toy for all but a few owners, I suppose you can understand this. But from my perspective, the more complicated it is then the more there is to go wrong. For example with the electrical suspension

As for the problems - well no reports of bevel box issues unlike the oilhead bikes, but lost of reports of gearbox problems instead

I am therefore the exception :eek

Just ordered basic bike with heated grips and ESA - the latter only because I fractured my spine earlier this year and want the option to easily switch to comfort mode.
