Dont know if anyone can help. Last year one of the biking Mags (Ride i think) run a feature about roads to ride . In the section they gave info about a road in Dorset i think, that has the steepest hill in the area. The picture was of a bike going around a corner on the hill/ Anyone got any ideas where it is. :rob

Big Hill

Could be looking at Google street view. I thought it might be in Dorset though. Is this the one in the Ride mag last year.:nenau

yes, that'll probably be zig zag hill. apparently the bendiest road in the country.

it's a bit like a shorter, tighter alpine pass with added gravel and lichen.

cranbourne chase off the top of it is one of my favourite roads, but it's short as well.

Porlock Hill... that couldn't be any further away from Dorset :P

Probably zig-zag hill :-)

Do I know you....or you me.... :nenau

If you care to read the OP's question, he wasn't actually sure where the hill was so it was a simple suggestion...

Thanks for your constructive input, I'm sure we've all benefited from that comment....

Well if anyone is near Somerset/North Devon, the road from Bridgewater to Minehead and up Porlock and down countisbury into Lynmouth must be one of the best biking roads in the UK. One of my favourite roads and I did it today
