dr250 seat off

Can anyone tell me how to get the seat off(yes I know I'm thick as shit) need to get the seat and tank off to change the plug.all suggestions gratefully received. J

I had a DR350 many years ago, - from memory you had to remove the side panels to gain access to the bolts to remove the seat.
