Stopped for a broken down bod today on a 650 BM who had run out of fuel, all got sorted out but would have been a lot simplier if i could have drained a litre or two from my GSA

any quick release connectors that can be used and where would you put them

Buy half a Q/D connector, attach a length of hose (you choose whatever length you like). To use unclip the fuel outlet Q/D, attach your half with hose attached turn on ignition press starter and the fuel will get pumped out.

Which connector

Steptoe,

Which connector do I need for an 04 GS? I am looking on Motorworks but I cannot work it out. Also what guage pipe do I need? I would look at my bike but it's away for repairs at the moment.

You need the female half of a Q/D connector. Remove the R/H side tank panel, disconnect the fuel return line and plug your female connector onto the male part attached to the fuel line.
Turn ignition on and fuel will pump out as the system primes. If you need a lot of fuel start the engine and you'll have a continuous supply -TO STOP THE FLOW OF FUEL TURN OFF THE IGNITION You may not need any extra hose as the FUEL return line gives you plenty of scope for filling any recepticles.
