Thought I would have a go at the mod for filling petrol tank/venting air. All went well EXCEPT for the last of the 6 screws holding the collar turned but did not come out..... So reassembled and had coffee, did think about drilling without removing and lifting collar but guess that might be a bit to risky. Anyone had a similar problem or completed the drilling just my blocking tank and drilling with everything in place ?

Cheers

DON'T DO IT.........!!

How will you stop the metal swarf from entering the fuel tank........?

How will you stop yourself scratching the paintwork with the drill chuck......?

Why won't the screws come out......?

If you could get a reasonable sized magnet in there behind the lip you might get away with it, but I'm with Dutch.....not worth the risk.

Must be a reason why you can't get the things undone...have a beer then retry, it'll work then :D

screw must..

have a iffy thread....all the other screws came out easy just this little bugger just turns and does not unscrew, tried putting screw driver under inside lip to try and put alittle pressure on hoping this would cause thread to grip and screw come out but no luck. Looks like its back to slow filling at the pumps !
Will leave the drill in the tool box.....
thanks
Steve
