Riding my old RT with big bright lights I notice cars see me coming up behind them more than when I test rode a GS yesterday. It was the TE version with the sideways horseshoe LED/DRL. I plan to order a TE in the next day but am thinking I might like some extra lights to make me more visible. Is this necessary or can I turn on the LED headlight and is this significantly brighter than the HEX HEAD GS light which I always thought a bit weak. I appreciate the LED headlight and DRL is quite attractive and distinctive but it seems to be less visible than the old dipped headlight but maybe I'm missing something.

Push the switch on the left handlebar to switch on the headlight. You can turn the DRL off in the settings which turns the headlight on by default as well I think.

Yup, you can select the dlr's on or off and select the dip light to be on and not in the automatic mode
