yep, didn't put it on it's sidestand correctly whilst i locked the gate at work, heard a noise and turned to see that it had fallen onto concrete on it's left side, finished locking the gate then picked it up (still running) to look at the damage.

Bent clutch lever
scuffed hand guard
TT aux light bracket bent
Carribou rack scratched.

and that's it, rode it home, bent the clutch lever back into shape with a bar and a block of wood, took apart the TT light and bracket and straightened them out with a hammer.

Got to love a bike that you can fix with a hammer and a bit of wood:D

If i didn't have the carribou rack or the lights on i reckon it would have been far worse, both indicators would have been smashed, the exhaust would have been dented and the plastics would have been damaged.

I wonder how it would have done had the pelican cases been on the bike? Do you have any other protection on the bike (engine protection?)?
I've got my panniers installed - really like them - I might just leave them on full time.
By the way - thanks for suggesting these panniers to me. Don't recall if I thanked you over on Advrider.

i don't know, probably would have zero damage to the bike and a scratched peli case :nenau

Only other protection on the bike is the bmw engine guard, which hasn't got a mark on it. Glad you like the panniers, i think they are a great bit of kit :D

I'm not taking pics cos there is no real damage to speak of :rob
