It could be completely innocent too - it is a buyers market and all that will sell is Cheap!
But,
if I were selling that -
I'd have picked a spurious speedo with a slightly more realistic top speed.

i have an xt and did the same shite clock.

The DRZ400E did not have a clock new, but only a trip/counter.
To get the bike road legal, the owner has fitted the cheapest and best clock, in my opinion, analogue and easy to replace if damaged in the future (£20).

That bike would sell in UK at that price, although the black paint would have to go, but yellow plastic kits are on ebay for £40 and the standard 'E' yellow plastic tanks are easy find.
