It's getting better. I still intend to have the bike ready Saturday. I spent the best part of 6hrs yesterday sorting out the front end bars and controls which are now done. The BMW guards were designed for the standard bars so I had to do a bit of grinding...

Filled the tank up with 27L yesterday and still handles superbly so I'm very happy.

Pictures later.

Do you have a public weighbridge near you?? :)

We've got to have this thing weighed ya know......;)

I'm with you on that, I'll try and get it done when I've mounted everything on Saturday. :thumb2

The final results of my near 6 month project are coming to a close. There are a few "teething problems" that still need sorting but everything is pretty much done and the photo's you see are close to the final product.

The alarm by Hawk has a major security issue that I discovered only because my key system has been replaced by a switch. They're sending me a new model to be released in January, probably so I keep quiet. It's a simple swap so no issue there. :augie

The rear pannier has been re-enforced with nothing less than plywood for the base. It's bolted onto the aluminium frame at the top. I'm not happy with that as I reckon the sub-frame will snap in a fall. I've ordered the Suzuki OE rack and will mount it on that instead. TT users say the rack will carry just about anything as it uses the seat supports.

The fatbars are fitted and are exceptional at cutting down the vibration. I've had to make up several aluminium brackets for the dash lights/alarm etc.

Now for the pictures...

Right here we are. Doesn't show Wolfman tank panniers as can't be arsed to fit them. I need to vinyl the pannier innards as well.
