DRZ400E Questions

Firstly how dificult is it to convert to s spec re the electics looking at, brake light and a dip/main beam so i can get a full MOT not just daytime.
Secondly been out on the bike today and several times it just died for no apparent reason, plenty of fuel, clutch not dragging always when at the lights when in gear when its cold, then seems to warm up and is fine, is this carb icing? didnt think it was cold enough and it seems it doesnt like partial throttle to long.
It is a 2000 x with 2500 miles on it.
And i had a hoot on it what a toy

Sounds like carb icing, my old bandit used to have the same problem. (can't remember it not doing it when in neutral though).....

On carb bikes without coolant loops around the base of the carbs you can use silkolene ProFST to prevent icing up if it is prone to carbicing. Stick some in the fuel tank on every fill up.

David not had a chance to sort it yet, did near enough 100 miles in the peak district did it a few times so will get round to it, suspect you are completely right, will pm you with the result
