Silicone spray will help, but wont last, done monthly, just enjoy the ride.
As I mentioned dealerships have habit of using good old lemon smelling Furniture Spray Polish.

Should add the swmbo did the RH switches @3yrs ago. So stays good for ages. She still hasn't got round to doing the LH yet.. No rush
