I am posting this here as i think it might get more viewing than just on the 1200 section.
Today i took my 1200 into Vines for its first 'free' service and to have an additional power socket added.
When i came to collect, i was advised that they had fitted a new front tyre.
The Dunlop that it came with had cracked and was splitting right around the entire circumference of said tyre. bear in mind, this is a tyre with 618 miles on it. OK , it did seea bit of track action at Rockingham last week, but other than that, nothing outrageous.
The split/crack was not so obvious when on the wheel and inflated.
This is just a warning to others who may have Dunlops on theirs, just to check them.
And by way of a PS, The service manager wanted to charge me for the tyre and when they got the money back from Dunlop under warranty would reimburse me. Darren, who looks after the human side of servicing told him B******s, and wasnt going to charge the customer for something that clearly wasnt his fault...what a top bloke.
